Philippi
Philippi a city in ancient Macedonia, the scene in 42 bc of two battles in which Mark Antony and Octavian defeated Brutus and Cassius. The ruins lie close to the Aegean coast in NE Greece, near the port of Kaválla (ancient Neapolis).
