Senatorial candidate John Waylan (Strauss) finds his political campaign crashing down when a journalist reveals his part in a Vietnam massacre of civilians. He and wife Kathy (Quinlan) retire to a lakeside cottage to lick their wounds and repair their tattered marriage. But Kathy finds it difficult to reach her distant and increasingly disturbed husband, who's having wartime flashbacks. Then Kathy disappears and the local police, as well as Kathy's sister, suspect that John killed her. Very disturbing TV movie, adapted from the novel by Tim O'Brien. 90m/C VHS .
