Agrell, Johan Joachim, Swedish violinist, harpsichordist, and composer; b. Löth, Feb. 1, 1701; d. Nuremberg, Jan. 19, 1765. After studies at the Univ. of Uppsala, he was a violinist in Kassel (1723–46) and Kapellmeister in Nuremberg (from 1746). He wrote syms., cantatas, 5 harpsichord concertos, 2 sonatas for Violin and Harpsichord, 6 sonatas for Solo Harpsichord, and solo harpsichord pieces.
