Alford, Kenneth J. [ Ricketts, Frederick Joseph] (b Ratcliff, London, 1881; d Reigate, 1945). Eng. composer and bandmaster. Student bandmaster at Kneller Hall 1904–8, bandmaster Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders 1908. Dir. of mus., Royal Marines 1927–40. His march comps. incl. Colonel Bogey (1914) and Eagle Squadron (1942).
