Forbes Henry
Forbes, Henry, English organist and composer; b. London, 1804; d. there, Nov. 24, 1859. He studied with George Smart in London, and with Moscheles and Hummel in Germany. He was engaged as a church organist, and publ. a collection of Psalm tunes, National Psalmody (1843). His opera The Fairy Oak was produced in London (Oct. 18, 1845) with considerable success.
