Donald-Fothergill operation
Donald-Fothergill operation (Fothergill's operation, Manchester operation) (don-ăld foth-er-gil) n. a surgical operation consisting of anterior colporrhaphy, amputation of the cervix, and colpoperineorrhaphy. It is performed (now rarely) for genital prolapse. [ A. Donald (1860–1933) and W. E. Fothergill (1865–1926), British gynaecologists]
