penicillamine
penicillamine (pen-i-sil-ă-meen) n. a drug that binds metals and therefore aids their excretion (see chelating agent). It is administered by mouth to treat Wilson's disease, lead poisoning, and severe rheumatoid arthritis (see disease-modifying antirheumatic drug). Trade name: Distamine.
