ATM Card Thievery
ATM CARD THIEVERY
Most people have not experienced problems using their ATM cards at automated teller machines. However, some ATM users have fallen prey to thieves who steal their information and raid their bank accounts. One of the ways that criminals gain access to bank accounts is by placing hidden cameras near ATM machines and recording people as they enter their PINs (personal identification numbers). Then the thieves use a device to record data from the magnetic stripe on their victims' ATM cards in order to create fake cards. Armed with the replica cards and PINs, the criminals gain access to accounts and withdraw funds.
