CLAGS Fellowships (Graduate/Fellowship)
Purpose: To provide fund to support research, travel or writing. Focus: Homosexuality. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduate students, academic or independent scholars who work on dissertation. Criteria: Applicants will be selected
by the fellowships committee of the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies based on the review of the application materials.
Funds Avail.: $3,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a cover letter with contact information; proposal of 5-10 pages; a curriculum vitae; and two letters of recommendation. Deadline: November.
Martin Duberman Fellowships (Professional Development/Fellowship)
Purpose: To award a senior scholar from any country doing scholarly research on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-gender, and queer experience. Focus: Homosexuality. Qualif.: Applicant must be a tenured university professor; advanced independent scholar; must be able to show a prior contribution to the field of LGBTQ. Criteria: Applicants will be selected based on the fellowships committee's review of the application materials.
Funds Avail.: $7,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; a cover letter with contact information; a proposal of 5-10 pages; curriculum vitae; and two letters of recommendation.
Joan Heller-Diane Bernard Fellowships (Graduate, Undergraduate/Fellowship)
Purpose: To supports research into the impact of lesbians and/or gay men on U.S. society and culture. Focus: Homosexuality. Qualif.: Applicants must be junior scholars, graduate students, untenured professors, independent researchers, or senior scholars. Criteria: Applicants will be selected based on the fellowships committee's review of the application materials.
Funds Avail.: $5,000. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Applicants must submit a cover letter with contact information; a proposal of 5-10 pages; evidence of contribution to the field of LGTBQ studies; curriculum vitae; and two letters of recommendation. Deadline: November.
