Gobutsu
Gobutsu (Jap., ‘five buddhas’). The five buddhas, distributed in the two maṇḍalas, of Japanese esoteric Buddhism. They are Dainichi in the centre, with, in the Diamond Realm mandala: Ashuku (east), Hōshō (south), Amida (west), Fukūjōju (north); and in the Matrix Realm mandala: Hōdō (E.), Kaifukeō (S.), Muryōju (W.), Tenkuraion (N.).
