Eduard Cech
Eduard Cech
1893-1960
Czechoslovakian mathematician who made significant contributions in the fields of topology and differential geometry. Through his theories in topology and its application to several forms of mathematics, Cech became a worldwide lecturer and received numerous awards for his innovative work. The latter years of his life were devoted to differential geometry, and he published 17 papers on that topic before his death in Prague in 1960.
