French royal mistress. Name variations: Zoe Victoire Talon, Zoé du Cayla; Madame du Cayla. Born Zoé-Victoire Talon at Boullay-Thierry, near Dreux, France, Aug 5, 1785; died at St. Ouen, near Paris, Mar 19, 1852; dau. of Omer Talon.
Was a favorite of Louis XVIII, king of France; following his death (1824), became a patron of agriculture and industry.
