sulfasalazine (sulphasalazine) (sul-fă-sal-ă-zeen) n. a drug – a combination of aminosalicylic acid and sulfapyridine (a sulphonamide) – used in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, and rheumatoid arthritis.
