Dannatt, James Trevor
Dannatt, James Trevor (1920– ). English Modernist architect. He worked under Leslie Martin on the Royal Festival Hall (completed 1951), and set up his own practice in 1952. With Martin he designed student residences for the University of Leicester (1960), and in 1962 he designed Vaughan College, Leicester, on two sides of the Roman remains there. In 1993 he built the entrance-gates and visitors' centre at Kew Gardens, Surrey.
