Ruth K. Jacobs Memorial Scholarship Fund (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship
Purpose: To provide financial aid to full time students preparing for church music ministry. Focus: Music. Qualif.: Applicant must be a junior, senior or graduate student majoring in music, who holds choral music with children and youth as a primary interest; have an official transcript sent from all past and current institutions in which enrolled; demonstrate talent and leadership ability and demonstrate promise of future usefulness in church music; and show the need for financial aid. Criteria: Recipient is selected on the basis of academic merit, interest in church music, ministry of church music as a vocation, and financial need.
Funds Avail.: No amount mentioned. To Apply: Applicant must submit applications for the Ruth Jacobs Memorial Scholarship must be submitted prior to February 1 of each year; recipients will be notified by June 1; scholarship funding will be payable to the school and will be dispensed upon receipt of verification of enrollment, full-time status and chosen major; applicant may reapply using application provided for renewal request. Renewing scholarship funding amounts may vary from stated scholarship at the discretion of the Memorial Scholarship Committee. Deadline: March 1.
