Tongariro
Tongariro (tŏng´gərē´rō), volcano, 6,458 ft (1,968 m) high, on the North Island, New Zealand. Hot springs are on its slopes and a lake is on the summit. It erupted in 2012 after being quiet since 1897. Tongariro is part of the Tongariro National Park.
