Śiva-Jñāna-Bodha
Śiva-Jñāna-Bodha (Skt.; Tamil, Śivañāṉapōtam, ‘realization of the knowledge of Śiva’). An important theological text of Śaiva Siddhānta written by Meykaṇḍadeva (Tamil, Meykaṇtartēvar; 13th cent. CE). The Śiva-Jñāna-Bodha is a concise, systematic exposition of Śaiva theology, which maintains that God (Śiva) is transcendent and immanent, and souls are wholly dependent on him. To attain union with Śiva through his grace, one should offer devotion (bhakti) to him.
