Glyptostrobus
Glyptostrobus (swamp cypress; family Taxodiaceae) A monotypic genus, G. lineata (Chinese swamp cypress), of deciduous conifers in which the soft leaves are arranged in 3 ranks and the cones are egg-shaped with shield-like scales. The trunk has a large basal buttress. It occurs in south-eastern China and is sometimes cultivated.
