Litsea
Litsea (family Lauraceae) A genus of evergreen trees in which the leaves are alternate and the inflorescence is subtended by an involucre. The fruit is inserted in the calyx tube. The genus provides many traditional medicines. There are about 400 species, found in warm temperate, subtropical, and tropical regions.
