Pyrrhocoridae
Pyrrhocoridae (order Hemiptera, suborder Heteroptera) Small family of plant-feeding bugs which are mainly associated with tropical plants, especially those of the family Malvaceae. Dysdercus (cotton stainers) damage cotton bolls in the fields. Pyrrhocoris apterus (firebug) lives on mallows, hollyhocks, and lime trees in Europe.
