Tectona
Tectona (family Verbenaceae) A genus of deciduous trees that have big, opposite leaves. The flowers are small and held in big terminal panicles. The fruit is surrounded by the inflated calyx. T. grandis (teak) is the commonest and most wide-ranging species, much cultivated for its durable, attractive timber. There are 3 species, occurring in seasonal southeastern Asia.
